Weight Loss.
Weight Loss. My creeping tiredness was begining to sabotage my weight goals. I do not think this subject is easy because, most of us want to achieve our results with the minimum effort. For those of us that will simply do what it takes, I am very impressed. These people have always impressed me. I"m not one of those people. I need all the help I can get. I"m not over weight much of the time. I"ve been lucky with my chosen profession of carpenter and joiner and my choice of transport, cycling to work. This seems to have fixed me in the early days. However, I could see that with creeping tiredness and a tendency to want to drive to work and drink alcohol, that the trend of losing weight and keeping it off was not going to last. Lucky for me my health deteriorated. Lucky for me again, my health deteriorated before I got too large. So I had to investigate getting my health back as a priority. I think if I had focused on just weight loss my journey would have been more difficult. The reason for this in my opinion is that with weight loss one is supposed to eat less and exercise more. This creates very difficult problems to solve. The first is less nutrition and more demand for good nutrition and the second thing is less food and more tiredness. Whoever said that targeting weight loss would work? What to do when exercise and cutting food back does not seem to be helping? This is the dilema thousands of people are facing everyday. Since this is such a departure from the government line of guided advice there does not seem to be any one clear next step when it comes to weight loss. It just seems to get very complex. I think focusing on weight loss in stead of the cause of the weight gain puts people at a great disadvantage. Who ever said that weight loss could be the target of our attention and succeed? It is the link between an activity and weight loss that counts. Why should targeting weight loss be a big disadvantage in achieving weight loss? It does seem strange to say this. The thing is weight loss should be a measure of your progress not the measure of success or failure. A runner that measures whether or not they have improved on their fastest time vs how much training they did that week and the quality of their training that week is likely to treat the 95% of their efforts that week with less importance. It is not until the link between some activities and results acheived is established that real success can be acheived. Let us not talk about exercise. Just how many possible activities are there? We are not just talking about exercise. The list of possible physical activities is very large indeed. Infact we do not even need to discuss them at all. This is because, there are literally thousands of books, programs, and websites dedicated to this end already out there. Our focus instead is going to be on the much more interesting area of how the body works and how mis information has led to this crisis in the first place. Is there a list of these activites that are not exercise? Yes there are: fasting; ketosis; olive oil; coconut fat; paleo; addiction; vitamins; minerals; amino acids; carbohydrates; leptins; eating window; brain fog; focus; concentration; sugar; alcohol; wheat; resistant starches; lectins; ketones; alzhimers; diabetes; auto immune; memory; mitochondria; migrane; learning; joint pain; heart disease; cancer; ADHD; high blood pressure; eyes; virus; hair loss; grey hairs; muscle; HGH (human growth hormone); ageing; cold showers; LH (luteinising hormone); melatonin; pregnonlone; reverstrol; gut health; sleep; tiredness; sarcadian rythem; fasting glucose; insulin; pancreas; thyroid; brown fat; glycogen; fainting; shaking; recovery; cafine; polyphenyls; antioxidants; vitality; COPD (common obstructive pulmonary disorder); joint pain; heavy metals; stress; fibre; carotanoids; longevity; mole rats; blue zones; rosemary; standing; sitting; Copyright (c) 2008-2025 NutritionVault Mark C.
